the added value of industries above designated size in hubei expanded by 7.6 percent year on year in the first ten months of this year, local department said on november 23, 2022.
the figure was 3.6 percentage points higher than national average and ranked eighth nationwide, continuing to take the lead among 12 major industrial provinces in the country.
from january to october, added value of the provinces high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 21.8 percent year on year, contributing 30 percent to the provinces industrial economic growth. it also marked an increase of 1 percentage point over the same period last year.
meanwhile, added value of the province’s equipment manufacturing industry rose by 9.2 percent year on year, 1.6 percentage points higher than that of all industries above designated size.
there are 2,234 new enterprises above designated size in the province during the same period, hitting a record high compared with the same period of past five years. by the end of october, total number of enterprises above designated size in the province had reached 17,426, a net increase of 1,157 from the end of last year. the output value of these newly-added enterprises surged by 281.5 percent year on year in october alone, boosting the province’s total industrial output value by 4.2 percentage points, 0.4 percentage points more than that in september.
among the 41 major industrial sectors in the province, 35 have achieved positive growth in the ten months, 16 of which have achieved double-digit growth rates. (en.hubei.gov.cn by ruan xinqi)
